Food Pantry, Meals, and Nutrition Services
Good food. Good company.
Need a meal? Come grab dinner, hang out, and connect with other Door members. We serve fresh, nutritious meals Monday through Friday, giving you a chance to sit down, enjoy some good food, and spend time with the community. You can also grab a meal to go, or enjoy snack time in Center Space in the afternoon. Our kitchen team takes pride in preparing fresh, well-balanced meals with quality ingredients and an abundance of love.
We also offer food pantry access and can help you connect to SNAP benefits so you have more options for getting the food you need.
Want to get more involved in the kitchen? Our Culinary Arts Training Program gives young people the opportunity to build hands-on skills, explore their interests, and learn about careers in the food industry.

Partnerships
Below are just some of the recent and ongoing partnerships that enhance and expand the capacities of our culinary program offerings. We're grateful to all our generous collaborators for the amazing things they make happen for and with The Door and for the additional knowledge they provide to our young people. Partnering activities can range from one-day events to long-term relationships. If you're interested in a culinary and wellness collaboration, contact Sunetra Rangraj at srangraj@door.org, or 212-941-9090, ext. 3298.

The Door participated in CAVA's Community Day where guests received a free lunch or dinner at their new restaurant location and accepted donations to The Door in lieu of their free meal. The Door and CAVA have a multipronged partnership as a sponsor, community partner, and employer partner for The Cut.

The Door's culinary team hosted its inaugural fundraising event, Taste of Community, where local restaurant partners, Door supporters, and friends gathered to mingle and enjoy delicious food. Click here to learn more about the event.

As part of an ongoing partnership with Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture and Blue Hill Restaurant, our culinary interns have been able to visit the Stone Barns Farm, tour the kitchen, and participate in food demonstrations.
