Advocate and Creative Leader Bashel Lewis Returns to Host Together We Thrive

We are delighted to share that Bashel Lewis will return as host of Together We Thrive: The Door’s 2025 Benefit for NYC Youth.

Last year, Bashel guided us through an unforgettable evening of celebration and storytelling, bringing warmth, humor, and authenticity to the stage. After hosting, Bashel visited our SoHo site last fall to spend time with young people and staff, seeing firsthand the impact of The Door’s comprehensive services.

As a creative leader and advocate for youth empowerment, Bashel is deeply aligned with The Door’s mission. His commitment to uplifting the next generation – especially young people who are systemically marginalized – reflects the spirit of Together We Thrive and the work done at The Door and Broome Street Academy every day.

We are honored to welcome Bashel back this year as host, where he will once again connect our community of supporters with the powerful stories of our young people.

Bashel is a content creator & host on a mission to spread #JOY. From his early blog, COPE FASHION, to his web series Bashel The Zillennial, he has built a vibrant community at the intersection of culture, style, and storytelling. His work has been featured in Forbes, ADWEEK, Variety, and Issa Rae’s Hoorae Media. Whether on stage or behind the camera, Bashel is all about joy, culture, and showing up as your full, authentic self.
