We are thrilled to announce that The Adolescent Health Center has broadened its range of services to include Transgender and Gender-Affirming Health Care. This expansion marks a significant step in our commitment to delivering more comprehensive healthcare to our LGBTQ+ patients.
Recognizing the distinct challenges that trans and non-binary individuals often encounter in accessing health care services, we are dedicated to offering tailored care to address their specific needs. By incorporating trans health care into our services, we aim to foster a safe and inclusive environment where all patients can access the care they require.
Transgender Health Services now include a range of specialized offerings:
Primary Care
Hormone Replacement Therapy (18+)
Gender-Affirming Surgery Navigation
Referrals for Name and Gender Marker Change
Assistance with Insurance Navigation
Mental Health Support and Support Letters
Gender-Affirming Closet
Our Gender-Affirming Closet is a new service designed to offer transgender and non-binary youth access to clothing and essential items that align with their gender identity, expression, and transition. Recognizing the challenges in obtaining these items due to difficulties and costs, our aim is to ensure accessibility for all patients who require them. The wardrobe includes binders, bras, packers, STPs, tucking garments, wigs, and various other items for affirming one's gender identity.
