This has been a truly incredible 2 weeks, and not just for The Door but for all the organizations involved. More than anything we are grateful to count our nearly 650 cause supporters and 230 Facebook fans as part of our extended family and network. Over the past two weeks that network has grown to include past Door members, families, current and former Door volunteers, the Settlement House community, youth in Europe, and troops in Afghanistan. We came together as a powerful and focused team of advocates for the nearly 12,000 young people that call The Door home.

As the excitement of the contest calms down at The Door, we will begin to plan for the future and how our portion of the donation will be allocated. Check our cause and Facebook page regularly for updates - as we plan to keep you in the loop about our activity! Remember - the rankings for the contest will be announced on Monday at Lady Gaga's Concert for The Robin Hood Gala!

Keep in mind that we could not have achieved any of this without the countless number of you who spent time voting and spreading the word about The Door.
