Sunetra Rangraj, RDN

Managing Director, Culinary Initiatives and Community Wellness Programs

Sunetra Rangraj, RDN, oversees integration of food and nutrition programs throughout The Door and Broome Street Academy. For over a decade, Sunetra has counseled our young people on nutrition and wellness, ensuring access to healthy meals and education in food and fitness. Sunetra has transformed our food programming to include a food pantry, training in culinary arts, hydroponics, and culinary job opportunities. She also cultivates community and corporate partnerships that support health and wellness initiatives. Sunetra received her BS in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon and her Nutrition degree at Hunter College. After years as a fashion industry financial planner, she became a licensed Registered Dietitian (RD), working at Women, Infants & Children and Blythedale Children’s Hospital before coming to The Door. An anti-hunger and health advocate, Sunetra believes balanced nutrition is key to wellness and developmental success. Her favorite vegetable—fruit, technically—is the heirloom tomato.
