Meena Shah, Esq., leads a dynamic interdisciplinary team of attorneys, social workers, paralegals, and administrative assistants in their advocacy and representation of NYC youth in civil and immigration matters. Prior to joining The Door’s Legal Service Center, Meena was an attorney for children in Bronx County Family Court at the Juvenile Rights Practice of the Legal Aid Society, where she represented hundreds of children and young adults involved in the child welfare system and related family court matters.
As an undergraduate student, Meena interned with The Door’s Membership Department, which ignited her passion for holistic, comprehensive youth development work. A 2013 graduate of the City University of New York (CUNY) Law School, Meena returned to The Door in 2018 as a staff attorney in the Legal Services Center and is admitted to the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department of New York.
