The links in this section will help you decide how to make the most effective contribution to our program. We need tutors, sponsors, mentors, organizers, and, most importantly, the funds to continue our important work.
Contributions from private donors provide the invaluable support needed to expand our existing programs and design new programs to address the changing needs of our constituents. Gifts from individual donors and foundations allow us to continue our long and vital tradition of innovation, piloting new programs which go on to become models for other agencies and which influence public policy debates at the local and national levels. Contributions to The Door are tax-deductible, and can be designated for general support or for specific projects or activities.
DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH TO GIVE?
- Every $100 provides an HIV test and follow-up counseling for a young person who has never been tested before.
- Every $250 provides dental check-ups for 5 young people.
- Every $500 provides 6 months of legal representation for a victim of human trafficking.
- Every $1,000 provides one year of one-on-one counseling and career placement for a young person aging out of foster care.
